Academic Plan & Reviews
Academic Planning Cycle (2025-2030)
After a year and a half of thoughtful consultation, OISE's draft academic plan was approved in principle by OISE Council on April 30, 2025. It will now proceed through its final governance phases in May 2025.
This plan is a testament to the collective wisdom and contributions of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners. It reflects our shared values and aspirations, drawing from diverse perspectives across programs, departments, and units. Through these rich conversations, key themes and priorities have emerged to help guide our path forward.
We invite all community members to view the plan as it continues through the governance process.

Academic Planning Process
During the consultation phase of the planning process, we sought to engage as many voices as possible to understand what is important to our community and how we can continue to evolve in our current context. We invited all OISE students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other partners to share their input, and we continue to welcome any questions and comments.
Past Consultation Opportunities
Community members had the opportunity to participate in the Community Big Questions Survey, dedicated focus group sessions for students, staff, faculty, alumni, early career faculty, and the broader community, as well as sessions for the Dean's Advisory Committees—including the Black Faculty Caucus, Sustainability & Climate Action Network, and the Indigenous Faculty Caucus. All members of the community were also invited to review the draft plan and share their feedback.
