Among the best, globally: OISE ranks highly on latest QS World University subject rankings

The ¥ has achieved a Top 10 placement on the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026: Education & Training.

Compiled annually by the international body, the QS Rankings assist future students in identifying leading universities in specific subjects. It highlights universities that excel across areas such as employer and academic reputation, citation per paper, teacher training, and academic studies in education subjects. 

As the top Canadian institution, OISE retains its 10th ranking from the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 list.

“OISE aims to lead through its academic programs, innovative and impactful research, and engagement with the education field,” said Professor Creso Sá, Acting Dean of OISE. “This latest ranking reflects the strength and influence of our work.” 

Founded in 1965 by an act of the Ontario Legislature, OISE is one of the largest and most research-intensive faculties of education in North America and is recognized as a global leader in graduate programs in teaching and learning, continuing teacher education, and education research. 

OISE regularly ranks as Canada’s top education institute by QS, Times Higher Education and ShanghaiRanking Consultancy.
