Explore the wide range of financial support available, in the form of scholarships, merit-based and needs-based awards.

At OISE, awards are generally separated into two categories:

1. OISE Internal Awards, comprised of Faculty Wide Awards and Departmental Awards
2. External Awards, offered by the (SGS) and external agencies 

Below is a list of these awards, available to students registered in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching & Learning (CTL), or where applicable, applicants to CTL programs. Deadlines will be updated as they become available for the current cycle. Those interested in applying to these awards must submit a complete application by the indicated deadline.

Note on eligibility: Please read award details carefully to ensure all eligibility criteria are met before applying. Award names are hyperlinked to official award webpages with complete information.

Students in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning will receive email communications throughout the academic year regarding award announcements and application deadlines, as they become available. However, students are responsible for reviewing these award pages for the most complete and up to date information. (Please note that these email communications will be sent to official UTmail+ student email addresses ending in @mail.utoronto.ca only).

A note for registered Master of Teaching (MT) students and MT applicants: as part of CTL's Departmental Awards, there are a number of MT-specific entrance awards, in-course awards and end-of-year award opportunities. Available also are the OISE External Awards for Teacher Education Students. Please review the award information and application deadlines carefully. Deadlines will be updated as they become available for the current cycle.
