APHD Belonging & Solidarity Social Series
Multicultural Games and Play in APHD
A space to connect, reflect, and play together!
Join us as we launch the brand-new Winter Term APHD Ping Pong Competition - winner to receive lunch for two at Mercurio valued at $65. Meet Dr. Angela Pyle and learn about the work of her Play and Learning Lab. We’ll also be exploring a few Inuit games, learning how to play Mancala (Africa, Asia, Caribbean) and Jan-Ken-Pon (Japan), and decorating cookies.
No experience needed. Everyone’s welcome!
Ping Pong Tournament
Once you have registered, you will be placed on a student/faculty competition bracket posted in the 9th Floor Student Lounge. It will give you the name and email of the person you need to play. Easy - just arrange a time to meet and play.
Then, the winner of the game will advance to the next round to face another competitor. By the end of the Winter term, we should be able to crown the overall winner of the competition and award the fabulous prize (Lunch at Mercurio).
Throughout the winter term, you can visit the 9th-floor lounge any time you want to meet people, hang out, and practice your ping pong skills.
