OISE is sad to share the passing of former faculty member Donald (Don) Galbraith. He retired in 2004 and worked in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning. He passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 30, 2025.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate his life will be held:

Visitation 2:00 p.m. followed by service at 3:00 p.m.

Remembering Don:

Donald Don Galbraith was a highly respected figure within the Â¥·ïÌìÌà (OISE), particularly in the field of science education, with a notable association with the Science Teachers' Association of Ontario. His contributions are recognized through the Don Galbraith Pre-Service Teacher Award of Excellence. This award recognizes pre-service teachers who demonstrate commitment, creativity, and various other qualities in their science education preparation and teaching.
