Join Senior Mentor Coaches Karen Friedman and Sonja Pullen in this interactive workshop which will examine the challenges and opportunities that arise when mentoring across intercultural, socio-economic, and generational differences. We will also explore the unique perspectives and needs of students who are new to Canada or experiencing social isolation. Through guided discussion, practical strategies, live demonstration and a chance to practice, participants will gain tools to build trust, nurture a sense of belonging, and adapt their mentoring style to support diverse mentees effectively.

Join a new professional learning community for OISE Senior Mentor Coaches — a space grounded in the 3rd edition of The Mentor’s Guide: Facilitating Effective Learning Relationships. This network invites participants to learn collaboratively, explore real-world challenges, and share effective mentoring strategies. Each session will center on key ideas from the book (no purchase necessary) to spark dialogue and build expertise as Senior Mentor Coaches.
