Security Awareness Training Program (SATP)

The Security Awareness and Training Program (SATP) aims to build a culture of security at the Â¥·ïÌìÌà (OISE) by equipping our community with knowledge, practices and technologies needed to protect themselves and the University against information security threats.

The program includes a survey and training modules based on security awareness. These modules are manageable, and self-paced and will prepare you when it comes to information security threats.

Rooftop Garden: Technology

In 2026, the OISE Building will open a new Rooftop Garden on the fifth floor, exclusively for members of the OISE community.

Education Commons is collaborating with the OISE Space team to ensure the garden’s technology components function seamlessly and reflect our shared sustainability values. The space will feature state-of-the-art systems designed to provide secure access exclusively to OISE community members.

Printer Optimization

In collaboration with the OISE Chief Administrative Office, Education Commons is reviewing and enhancing departmental printing requirements and technologies across the OISE building. This initiative is driven by the upcoming expiration of the current printing agreement in 2025.

As sustainability priorities evolve and printing practices continue to shift in the post pandemic post-secondary educational environment, OISE has experienced a decreased reliance on traditional printing.
